This first picture I chose is a picture of me and one of the children at the daycare I work. This picture was during the summer. I had took my students out to recess and she saw my iPad in my purse. She then asked me if we could take a picture together and I said yes. I choose this picture because it represents one of the things I’m most proud of myself for, the bond I have with my students.

The second picture I choose is of my students and I on a field trip to the museum of science. I honestly just looked through my gallery and found a picture that was meaningful to me. This picture is meaningful to me because it represents all of the good times that would come, not only with my students but also with my coworkers. This picture was also included because it was my first day on the job and behind my smile, there was so much anxiety and frustration( my students are a handful). Despite those feelings, this picture also represents the beginning of  a huge part of my life and something so precious I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

For this picture, I had to scroll though my uncles old facebook posts. Initially, I was going through my uncles Facebook posts to find the time where I forced him to take of picture of me trying on my new boots. I was going to choose that picture because it was a wholesome moment and it showed how my keen fashion sense and spunky attitude dated back to when I was a toddler. Instead I chose this photo of my little sister and I because it represents how happy I am when I am with a setting surrounded by family.

I decided to include this video when I came across it in my camera roll while looking for my second photo. This is a video showing what the end of the day with my students look like. If we are not outside, it’s usually them on the carpet or huddling around me while we either watch a movie or play a game. I choose to include this video in my project because it shows the fun and informal moments I have with my kids in our downtime towards the end of the day.

This video is one of the meditations I do regularly. For this video, I scrolled through my “watch later” playlist on YouTube. I then chose to include a meditation video because it reveals a fun fact about me. Meditation plays a big role in my life. Some of the things I use mediation for include when I feel overwhelmed and need to calm down, when I feel tired to fully relax me so I fall asleep, and before a big event to lower my anxiety.

I choose Diamonds by Rihanna because it brings me nostalgia. I came to the conclusion that I wanted to include this song in my project by thinking back to my childhood memories and the things that shaped me to be the person I am today. When I was around 5 years old, the song Diamonds by Rihanna came out. When a song recently comes out the radio frequently plays it. A vivid memory I have of this song is drinking ice coffee in the backseat of my uncles car singing with my cousins and I singing it at the top of our lungs. I remember this moment so vividly because my uncle had got me a Dunkin Donuts iced coffee after my mother specifically told him I was too young for caffeine. Needless to say I was bouncing off of the walls for the rest of the day.
