Decisions! Decisions !
Hey blogsters ! The first picture I choose was one of my sister at my cousins second birthday party. I chose to put this picture first because it is the I was the youngest out of all the pictures in my selection. Most of my pictures are recent, however, this picture is from when I was 11 years old. “What does that have to with anything ?” might ask. Well, my thinking was that I’d have a sort of a “where it all started” moment (despite being 11) to contrast with current me in the next picture.
Speaking of the next picture, this picture consists of me and one of my students when she asked me to take a picture during recess time. I chose this picture because, like I stated, it transitions from early adolescence into my day to day teenage life. A lot of my decision in the placement of this picture was determined by the surrounding pictures. With that being said, this picture was also chosen because of the way it transitions into the following video. The third piece of media is a video of my students and I during downtime at the end of the day. I see the second picture as a sneak peak into one of my daily duties, it then transitions into a more detailed example.
The fourth piece of media is a picture of my students and I at the science museum. This photo was chosen for the way the previous pieces of media ties into it. The previous pieces of media were pictures of me with a few of my children. I chose the placement of this picture because it contrasts with the intimate nature of my previous media by showing me with all of my students instead of a small selection.
I’ll be completely honest, when it came to my last piece of media I had no idea how to incorporate it. My last video in the slideshow is a guided meditation video. During my research/planning process I was thinking of including this video because it represented a practice that was very important to me. In hindsight this was not a good idea because it’s sort of random to have a compilation of pictures of me then randomly go into a meditation video. Because I had to make an innovate a solution I decided that I’d transition from Diamonds by Rihanna( the background song) to the audio at the end of the video where farewells are being said to exit out my commercial.
