Music Video Intro Blog


Hey guys. It’s me again! I just wanted to refresh your memory about me as we dive in to this new project, the making of a music video. I’m so excited to get to experience the making of a music video and I’m even more excited to share the process with you guys.

Welcome blog world it’s Arianna and today I’ll be welcoming you to my blog by telling you a little about myself. I was born on the 14th of September in 2007. I am an only child to my mother,however, on my fathers side, I am the third out of four children. I have two brothers who live in a different country and a sister who lives in Florida with me. I am a second generation Jamaican. My mother and father is from a parish called Spanish Town. 


I am currently a sophomore (second year) in Fort Lauderdale High School. I am apart of a rigorous magnet program called the Cambridge Program. The Cambridge courses I am currently taking include AICE Thinking Skills, AICE Media Studies, AICE Environmental Management, and AICE English Language. The year has just started so I don’t really know much about the courses,however, my two favorite courses so far are AICE Environmental Management and AICE Media Studies. I like AICE Environmental because science is my favorite subject. I’m intrigued by AICE Media Studies because despite living in the age of technology I’m not well versed in it.

Our pitch

 Pitch A: Relationship full of secrets when the wife gets a strange secret.  Pitch B:2 archeologists go to an ancient site for observation, however things take a turn.  Discuss pitch A: We found this interesting as it instantly hit with an idea. The idea with that was a serial killer hiding in plain sight and his wife who's a nurse with a new influx of patients sharing strange symptoms. However this plot held limited creative freedom. Additionally it didn't fit with all of our groups ideas, not everyone could get what they wanted in a way that fit for everyone. While it was a fun and creative topic it just wasn't as strong as it could be. Discuss pitch B:This idea had such a vivid movie flow, immediately we were all bouncing ideas and ended up coming up with a full movie plot. Genre Research: Action

  Common camera angles, movements, and shots: High angles, low angles, aerial Shots, dutch angles, and  eye level angles. This genre also uses over the shoulder shots, establishing shots, shoulder level shots, ground level shots, and hip level shots. Close up shots, long shot, and point of view shots are also utilized.  Common costumes, lighting, acting, makeup, props, and sets: Action movies often include superhero outfits, tactical gear, and military uniforms. Dynamic lighting creates a dramatic atmosphere with silhouette lighting and strong spotlights. Acting involves intense physical performances and choreographed fight scenes. Weapons, vehicles, and gadgets are examples of props, such as guns, helicopters, cars, masks, cellphones, computers, and explosives.
